Rate / Prices?

Smaller pieces are priced by the piece, as this will depend on how much work is required from me on the back end.

Pieces larger than 2.5 hours are priced hourly at $200/hr.

Where are you Located?

I tattoo out of my own studio, Cosmic Noise, located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle.

6006 12th Ave. S. Seattle WA, 98106

When will I see my Design?

Due to the nature of my schedule,  I don't send designs out ahead of time. However, I am always open to edits and will allot time during our appointment to make adjustments until you are happy with the design. It is very important to me, that you are 100% sure of the design and that it is everything you imagined it to be. Please always exercise your autonomy as a client and let me know of changes you'd like to see.

Can I Use Numbing Cream?

I am totally ok with numbing products. All I ask is that you look into the product that you are purchasing and follow the instructions correctly.

I usually have additional numbing products available, but the spray I use must be applied on open skin, so all the linework must be done before I can use it.

Do you do Color?

I am primarily a Black and Gray artist.

I will, however, consider small areas of color on some projects, if it enhances the design.

Should I set up a Consult?

Small projects, unless very complex, typically don't require consults.

Large projects that cover areas 10in or larger will require a consult.

Projects that wrap, and areas that already have tattoos, might require a consult. Feel free to submit a form & if we need to meet, I will help you set up a time. Consults can be in-person or via Zoom depending on the project.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Coming prepared to your appointment can improve your experience exponentially.

Before coming in, please:

-Make sure you eat a nutritious meal.

-Hydrate well the day before and the day of your appointment.

-Get some good sleep the night prior.

-Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. It may end up with ink on it.

-Bring water and snacks that you might want to have during breaks.

-Comfort items and fidget toys are encouraged. (I have a strawberry pillow I like to bring to my appointments)

-Entertainment items are also good to consider. Headphones, a book, a movie ready to go on a tablet, etc.

If you have any additional questions, please include them in your form.

What is your recommended Tattoo aftercare?

I typically patch my tattoos with DermShield / Dynarex. This patch is meant to stay on for 3-5 days. It is waterproof, and you can shower with it.

I recommend that you monitor the level of moisture under the patch while on. If there is an exess of plasma, the patch should be removed.

Once the patch is off:  wash, rinse, dry, and moisturize 2-3x per day.

Moisturizers and Soaps should be unscented. I prefer non-petroleum-based moisturizers as they allow for the tattoo to breathe better.

While the tattoo is healing:

-No Sun

-No Swimming/Baths (please do shower though)

-No tight clothing over the tat.

-No itching/scratching the tat.

How / When can I book?

I require every client to fill out a Form for every unique project.

I book once to twice per month and reply to most requests in batches.  It may take 1-2 weeks for me to reply.  I will be booking a month ahead of time, and keeping a waitlist for cancellations during that period.

Projects will be on an interest basis, and not first come, first serve.

Do you tattoo other artist's designs?

References are always welcome, however I will never copy another artist's design. Especially if it is already a tattoo

If someone designed a piece of art for you (friend, self drawn, or commissioned),

I will consider the project but likely won't post it.

What goes into our Appointment?

The physical tattooing is only a fraction of our time together. A portion of your appointment is alotted to design adjustments, as well as sizing and placement.

Do you have Flash?

I will be doing Flash Drops periodically. All available designs can be found in my Flash Highlight on Instagram @velvet_corpse.

What are things that you don't do?

- Full Color

-Realism

-Tribal

-Names / Initials

-Christian/Catholic themes

-Wedding bands

These exceptions are based on my preferences and moral views.

Please be respectful and understanding of my boundaries.

Rescheduling Policy?

Please reschedule at least 48hrs prior to your appointment to maintain your deposit. I allot one rescheduling within this policy, and your deposit will be valid for the new date. Any additional rescheduling will require a new deposit. We can all agree that life happens, however,  I want to be fair to everyone who schedules and waits a couple of months in advance to get tattoed. Filling slots so last minute tends to be a challenge. So, the sooner I know, the better.

Can I bring a friend/partner/family member with me to my appointment?

Companions are totally fine, and quite helpful in getting through the pain and logistics of a tattoo.

However, please limit your companion to one person

The studio cannot accommodate many more bodies than that per station. We want to be mindful of other artists and clients who are occupying the same shared space and who, like you, deserve a private and calm environment.

Touch-Ups?

I am happy to do One Free Touch up on a piece IF needed (minus a few placement exceptions).

The tattoo must be healed for at least One month and the touch-up is valid within 6 months of the initial piece.

If you want to reach out about a touch-up, send me a message on Instagram with a photo of the area you'd like touched up.

Areas that DO NOT include a free touch-up are Hands, Feet, Neck, Face, or Cover-Ups. This is due to them being high-movement areas,  which can cause the ink to fall off at a faster rate than other body parts, and Cover-Ups are ultimately unpredictable.

Touch-ups for the areas listed above can be done at my regular hourly rate, and like a normal appointment, will require a deposit to be paid.
